H2S is scavenged immediately and converted into a non-reactive by-product that remains in liquid solution. The chemistry eliminates sulfide which results in soluble ions in the water which can be removed when water is removed.
Although our product is classified as a scavenger, it is not the same as Triazine. Our product searches, reacts, and scavenges the H2S in an aqueous phase and contains chelants which can control any solids that may form from soluble ions.
Our management team has a combined 100+ years in the industry. This includes 24 years in oilfield production chemicals, 40 years building and managing upstream and midstream processing plants, and 29 years drilling, down hole completions, and production chemicals.
We have tested the product thoroughly in the lab and in the field. We have treated substantial volumes of both crude and natural gas, including treating half a million barrels as a pilot program. We have all necessary safety certifications.
We have treated crude with H2S as high as 250,000 PPM (25%) and it was 100% effective and reduced it to zero.
Gas treating involves gas-to-liquid contact using a specialized treating vessel, such as a bubble tower or inline mixer. Our product rapidly scavenges H2S from the gas stream yielding a completely sweetened natural gas product. Vessel design is important and Swordfish Chemicals can assist with providing recommendations on a case-by-case basis.
Swordfish Chemicals chemistry does not cause operational problems due to its fast kinetic reaction and its special chelating components. This makes it more economical in higher H2S concentrations. The only caveat is that it is imperative to correctly design the contact vessel to exact conditions for optimal treatment.
